Namsenfjorden I (119x84cm)
Tom Arne Hanslien
printed on Giclée Hahnemühle Pearl
The frosty fog moving across the fjord creating a very atmospheric and fairytale like landscape. A winter landscape showing the freezing harsh conditions.
From a series of photographs from Namsenfjorden - the estuary of the very famous Norwegian salmon river Namsen. I grew up in Namsos a small town at the mouth of the river from which it got its name. I often go back to visit my home town and am always drawn to photograph the views of the fjord from the harbour. Light and climate is always changing the way it appears so it never looks the same, which is fascinating and lends itself to some very idyllic and atmospheric landscapes and seascapes.
