Conversations In The Night
Tom Arne Hanslien
printed on Giclée Hahnemühle Pearl
This photograph is from the 800 year old holy tank of Hazrat Nizamuddin ki Baoli in New Delhi, India. It's right by Nizamuddin Dargah, the Sufi Muslim shrine dedicated to Hazrat Nizamuddin. We had just been to visit the shrine late one evening and on our way out I found this motif as the passage to the shrine passes by this holy tank. It was a very atmospheric sight and such a tranquil sight amongst the very busy walkway to the shrine. It was however very dark and tricky to get an image without the luxury of a tripod, so had to crank up the ISO a bit more than I'm normally comfortable with. Bear this in mind to avoid any disappointments.
